First day of Youth Summit wraps up

First day of Youth Summit wraps up : "The 100 delegates, aged between 18 and 24, focused on 10 key areas including the economy, education, climate change, health, and the future of Australian governance."

I am curious to see whether the young people found this to be a challenging and exciting day. It would be a good thing to continue so that the young people grow into citizens who take an interest in their country. They would certainly be more involved if they felt their contributions were meaningful and viable. I don't think you listen just for the sake of listening nor do you implement just for the sake of implementing. If the ideas from this can truly be used then it should be further developed and encouraged. It is great to actually have some good news about young people who are being productive and positive. It's a great pity we don't focus on this more because I bet there are more positive , active young people than the extreme few we constantly hear about. It's about balance and focus and where we want to put our time and energies.
