I can only reiterate what was said by a WA politician or city counsellor on the radio today and that was a statement to the effect that this wasn't a horror story, but life in Perth. This is real life and it is very hard to stomach. The family and friends of Stacey Mitchell are probably inconsolable at this stage. The two who have been sentenced are so young and yet we seem powerless to be able to redeem them in any way and that is a sorry state of affairs because you always think you can help people. Bottom line, they are not safe. People who are with them are not safe and we need to be able to understand them so we can stop this sort of person being created. We cannot help everyone, I suppose.
