Young farmers raise concerns about climate change

Young farmers raise concerns about climate change : "'The average age of farmers at the moment is approximately 56.

'That's pretty old, so there's going to be a lot of change in the future and it's important that we're involved.'"

For all the negative talk about Gen Y , there is a really good side to them. When they commit, they really want to participate and they really want to know and get it right. These 50 young farmers have used their initiative to meet with state and federal leaders to air their concerns as farmers about climate change. They want to be included in the process. They want advice, knowledge and then they want to play their part in setting up farms for the future. You really cannot do better than that.
