Poor eat as healthily as rich : "The study also found increasing awareness among lower-income families about the need to eat healthier food, with more than 75 per cent of those surveyed saying they wanted to improve their diet."
And that's the whole point, isn't it? The will to eat properly and then knowing about the nutritional value of food. Money doesn't give you brains or information, nor does it give you the will to feed yourself properly. We have magazines and programmes here which help people on a limited budget seek the right food and know which nutrients are provided by which foods. These magazines and programmes give us some delicious recipes and simple ideas to get us enthusiastic about food. We are also well informed on the more expensive options too...so everyone gets the information. I guess we are lucky in that Adelaide provides us with motivation too. We like our food and there is plenty to choose.
