Models in the spotlight

That's what most healthy Australian girls do look like - athletes...tall, leggy, strong and their skin just glows. It's good to see healthy people in fashion parades. It's good to see someone who looks well. Even if you are doing fashion as art, then the person needs to look alive and well and have those beautiful clear eyes most top, successful models have. It is an industry which has been in the limelight and with good reason. It's good to turn the spotlight on things from time to time. We don't need to be harming ourselves and others just to promote things. People are more important. From all the discussion both here and overseas we are coming to a better understanding of what we want to see and what we are willing to reject because it's not in the best interests of the wellbeing of the people involved in the industry. It's a really healthy sign that we are no longer looking for the quick fix. We are prepared to argue our views,, look at our options, confront the hard stuff and then change the boundaries.
