Immune cells spell hope for chemo patients

Immune cells spell hope for chemo patients : "The cells work by rebuilding the immune system's most vital “engine room” - a small organ located in the upper chest called the thymus - which is seriously depleted by chemotherapy drugs."

This is a really significant breakthrough and it's true, we do not know a lot about the thymus and it's time we did obviously. Chemotherapy is just brilliant if it works because it saves lives, it lengthens lives and it restores health. If it doesn't work , it is very, very destructive and so this breathrough in research might alter the outcome of the negative impact of chemotherapy. In any case , even when the chemo works, people are often debilitated for quite some time before their body heals. If the thymus can be restored to health faster after treatments of chemo, then it only bodes well. At least researchers all over the world are coming up with some decent discoveries which will help rid us of the disgusting scourge of cancer.
