Collie murder

Teenage murderers showing remorse, lawyers say. : "The court also heard it appeared one of the girls had been unable to process what she had done, while the other had written a letter to the victim's mother expressing regret, but had not been allowed to send it."

True, they did hand themselves in but what has purportedly come out of their mouths since doesn't really make a lot of sense, but then again, why would it? I am not surprised the father doesn't accept they are sorry. It's not really something you can be sorry about. It's too awful to supposedly do this to someone's daughter and then say it just felt right ...and then apologise. No, Eliza's parents deserve more and better than that. Our courts will decide what they decide and I am sure they will look at it as carefully as they can, but the bottom line is this appears to be a hideous treatment of a young girl by two other young girls and then their explanation is so totally lacking in feeling , consideration and conscience. It may well be the truth but I agree with their lawyer, I do not think they have any idea of what they have done nor why they have done it. That is the whole problem here and some real experts are going to be needed to look at how it occurred and how these two girls got to be like they were...because we do not want to create any more of them. The truth is out there somehwere and it will take some time to put it all together. I think we need to talk about it because for us, we are reading about it, Eliza's parents have to live it. This is their life and we need to stand next to them to try and help them cope. As for the 2 girls, what is to become of them?
