French to cash in on tax-free year

French to cash in on tax-free year:

"For those who are reluctant to believe that the dreaded 'fisc' - the French tax authorities - would comply with such a rare act of government largesse, Mr Breton spelt out his plan in the country's media yesterday, stating clearly: 'I am suggesting that 2008 be fiscally blank.'"

I want ATO largesse. I want 2008 to be fiscally blank tax wise. I want no taxes for a year!! In truth it's because France is changing over to a pay as you go system and they expect that system to be more efficient and can afford a year to get the changeover right...but still, can yu imagine? I hate doing all my tax even though I get an accountant to fill it all in and walk me through it. I still work out what's what and get the lists going....and to have that tax...I'd sponsor another child for a start...get my roof fixed....a one off like that would not only boost morale, it would make you feel positively jubilant and then you'd work away happily!! Governments need to learn about happiness.
