Expert witness says HIV 'doesn't exist' : "'I am a scientist, I look for science - I do not look for consensus,'' she told the court. 'There is no massive epidemic of HIV infections because no one has proven it.''" This scientist believes there is no link between HIV and AIDS. She says there are no published reports which say HIV exists. In that case there can be no link because it doesn't exist. Eleni Papadopulos-Eleopulos is giving evidence in a court case where a man is convicted of endangering the lives of three women. The SA Court of Criminal Appeal will sort out the legality and justice of all of this, but the belief this woman has that HIV doesn't exist is surprising to me because she is a scientist and probably knows and reads a lot more than I do. So what is right? I thought people could test HIV positive. I thought that meant they might develop full blown AIDS. If Africa does not have an AIDS crisis because HIV does not exist then what are the médecins sans frontières treating and what is killing the Africans and was Freddie Mercury HIV positive or not?? I am so confused. I am wondering why we have been given all this AIDS information if it is, in fact, misinformation. Can we please sort this out? If HIV is not linked to AIDS, what is the HIV which people have been calling HIV? I'd hate to see 20 years of AIDS education go out the window but there is no reason for me to believe a scientist would not be speaking their truth.
