Protesters trying to 'trash' reputation

Protesters trying to 'trash' reputation :

"'There are hard-core militant and violent groups who have organised for violence, trained for violence and engaged in violence against property and police,' he said."

And that is not Australia. We are not hard core violent. We hate it. We cannot be bothered with it. So it is not Australians trying to ruin us...and the protests. People have always had a right to protest here. It's only recently our protesters have had masked men who are violent so I suppose the police are having difficulty identifying who they are. It would be good if Mr. Costello could recognise the difference between his and our values and those of outsider groups who neither value the peace we have nor our right to peacefully express our view. Jumping on the stereotype, violent protesters doesn't at all address what on earth is going on here. Media fodder?
