Footie Season

Adelaide footie fans will be laughing at work tomorrow and the scarves will be out again. Port beat Carlton and the Crows beat Essendon so everyone will have something to crow about!! Both substantial wins so there will be that lovely feeling of satisfaction of a job well done. Yes, we are all working at it very seriously this year. The guy across the road had his three boys out on the front lawn about an hour before they were going off to their matches and there was a lot of shouting, screaming, excitement and general football hullaballoo which told us all it was going to be a serious football weekend. The cars were roaring importantly down the street, the scarves and hats were on and the whole atmosphere was family , family, family and very noisy. It is ages since I have heard Adelaide be so noisy and full of buzz about the football. That the teams won will only get it into our heads that football is a great community builder and a fantastic family blender!!
