Teenager punched to ground dies

Teenager punched to ground dies:

"The 17-year-old was attacked outside a McDonald's restaurant on the Esplanade in Cairns in the early hours of Saturday morning."

I appreciate the news has kept us informed but has been courteous enough to spare the victim's family any media scrutiny. As a nation we need to deal with this. This is another needless loss of life because some kids have no boundaries. It is no use being sorry after you have killed someone. It is no use saying you didn't mean it. It is no use looking at the parents and saying it was an accident. Children need to know that killing people is not an option, accidentally or not. They need to really understand that when you do certain things then you are putting a life at risk and that life is someone else's and they cannot get it back. I feel so terribly sorry for the parents of the young boy. It probably all started with a squabble but it is pointless...the young boy just could not survice and the parents, family and friends have to manage the loss now and it must be so hard. It's bad enough when they are sick but when it's something like this you must be beside yourself. Those responsible have to be dealt with but they now have to live with having killed someone and having done that at such a young age, how do they then rectify themselves for the rest of their lives? We have to stop it.
