Vaccine plan

"Countries such as France, Italy, Spain and Sweden, as well as Bill Gates, the Microsoft tycoon and one of the world’s richest men, are backing the scheme, and Mr Brown hopes to attract support from other nations. 'This is the beginning of something even bigger in the future,' he said."

European countries and Bill Gates ( I suppose he's worth as much as some countries!!) are going to supply vaccines over ten years to help save the lives of millions of children. The vaccines are for polio, Hep B and tetanus. Things we take for granted are missing in other parts of the world and it makes sense for the world to co operate so that all people can enjoy a level of health and safety. It's a massive step forward in our efforts to redress the imbalance in the world. It also makes sense to fix the things we can fix rather than waiting for the fortunes of some people and their countries to change.
