Honey's healing qualities stump scientists.:
"Doctors are recommending Jelly Bush Honey to help treat ulcers, burns, and sores."
I've used honey's healing properties for a long time. The Jelly Bush honey seems to be very special because it can be used to treat ulcers, burns and sores. You have to get properly produced honey and not honey diluted with glucose, which can have its uses, but is not proper honey. I have used honey for cuts, rashes, itching, stings as an initial salve why I try and find something more modern! Truth is, honey does have antiseptic qualities and most people have honey on hand and it's easier to find while you are in the thick of things than trying to get stuff out of the medicine cupboard. The Egyptians knew a lot about honey and used it medicinally and cosmetically. Mixed with cucumber juice it takes the sting out of sunburn. Most people don't burn themselves these days, thank heavens. I also swear by honey and lemon tea for colds and flu.
My latest honey addiction is macadamia honey. It is brilliant. It has a really smooth taste and is the Rolls Royce of honeys in my opinion. At the moment I can't get enough of the taste, but you don't need a lot because it really is a full bodied flavour!
