Football fever

Big win ... Mark Riciutto celebrates with coach Neil Craig (Getty Images)
Ricciuto talks up Crows' chances

At last, a picture of the winners!! Can you see all that happiness? You should have heard it last night. I still can't get over it. Adelaide has been awfully quiet today and I gather people have swanned quietly around indoors. I wish they would put up the shot of the Port supporters I saw last night. There were the three of them, older and all rugged up and in their colours. As it was clear Port was losing, these three looked so glum. Not angry, not depressed. Just glum. Their team had played...Port did play for the whole match, but the Crows just had the ball so much and put it through the goal posts so often...and that guy on the left, is a magical footballer and has been nominated on the national team 8 times. Finally, I get it, I understand what the fuss is all about. He just is a cut above, but he is someone who is willing to share his skills. And Neil, the guy on the right, the Coach, he knows how to turn a team into footballers. The Crows are now footballers thanks to him. Now, next week it's up against the West Coast Eagles...will our nails get through the week? Posted by Picasa
