No surprises there. There is never any way of getting proper information these days because the information is contradictory all the time. Creates a lot of confusion. There is plenty of information on the Net, though, and sifting through it paints a picture of something. Quite what isn't necessarily clear. Safe to say that virtual reality isn't reality. Might be helpful, might not be, but it is only virtual reality. The truth is out there. The truth is always the truth. People know when it's the truth. Their minds are at peace and they stop hunting for answers and trying to replicate the events.
