His parents have taken this all in their stride, it would appear, but then Apserger's children can be remarkably surprising and are quite sudden in their decision making at times. No, he wouldn't have thought to tell anyone. He would have wanted to see the East coast of Australia and would have been thinking what a great adventure it was. He would also have probably been thinking that his parents would know he was okay because he'd tell them if he wasn't! In many ways our children don't get to go off on great adventures where they use up their energy and satisify their curiosity. They have to live very restricted lives for safety reasons and that is sad in a way. He is obviously very fit and energetic...but oh, heavens, thank goodness he is safe.
