Santos abandons clean coal development - ABC News
Energy company Santos has scrapped a $445 million development planned for southern Queensland.
So what exactly does that mean? Will anyone else take it up? Is it worth it. I always think clean coal is any oxymoron. What colour is coal? If you handle coal what do your hands and clothes look like? If you burn it , what do you get? There doesn't exactly seem to be anything clean about coal. The Ruhr valley was full of coal mines and so polluted. Coal miners breathe in the dust and it makes them so sick. Historically there hasn't been anything clean about coal either. Perhaps someone needs to explain what clean coal means. A joke?
