Camels go on rampage after they get hump over drought :
"More than 200 camels invaded an Aboriginal community on the edge of the Gibson Desert, in Western Australia. The rampaging animals tore at air-conditioning units and smashed taps and lavatories to drink from fractured water pipes."
We've had koalas drowning in swimming pools because they are so thirsty and now we have rampaging camels up north. It'll be a difficult thing for those people to manage. I think we really need to look at how we are going to provide for our wild life as the dryness is going on and on and on. Animals will do what they think is right to get access to what they need. It is a sad and sorry state of affairs we are not up to managing it as yet and that politicians do not believe we have to do something NOW about global warming and its effects. As humans we can make changes and adjust. Animals are dependent upon nature and us. When nature is going against them, we have to think for them. Had I not gone to The Times I wouldn't even know about the problem. Our camels are normally very healthy and strong and they are very useful in our derst regions and have long been a part of our landscape. The people in those communities being ransacked by the camles need to be protected and helped. I daresay this is all happening but we need to get ahead on this and stop chasing the chaos. We need to be working on solutions and doing a bit of pre planning and research to get to the bottom of it all. Easier said than done, I know.
