Bus and rail ban for lout

Bus and rail ban for lout :

"Last financial year, 5270 fines were issued. People were fined $170 each for breaches including not being in possession of a valid travel concession card, not having a valid ticket, not possessing student ID cards, failing to buy a ticket and paying a wrong fare."

No apologies need be made for what has occurred. Public transport operates on a level of trust and we need to be quick to act if the trust is abused. We like to use public transport. It's something tourists are dependant upon too. When you go elsewhere and you see people can just travel and pay for their tickets, then that's a good thing. Public transport has to be viable. As soon as it becomes non- paying or unsavoury then you run into a lot of problems. I don't like it when people try to be annoying or they try to get away with what they can get away with. Given how many people travel this is a small number, but way too many!
