'Racist' ad forced off air after 9 months

The Advertiser: 'Racist' ad forced off air after 9 months :

"The minority said the 'advertisement was a humorous depiction of a common frustration felt by many people at having service calls answered by overseas call centre operators and was not racist'."

One person complained so the RAA withdrew the ad.It used references to New Dehli and call centres. When someone was telling us about this we thought he was joking and then we went through the dross in our brain boxes trying to work out what was racist. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Being called a pommie, or a pommie bastard or a Thatcherite when you hated the woman has never been consider racist. Being picked up over your English pronunciation of words has never been considered racist. Whingeing pom has never been considered racist. This ad was funny. It still is funny and thank heavens the Indians came on the news tonight and said they thought it was funny too.It is nonsense it has had to be considered. New Dehli is not racist!!! The Indians have a very good sense of humour.
