Teacher sues school over 'farting' chair

The Australian: Teacher sues school over 'farting' chair :

"Asked why she did not resolve the chair problem, Ms Storer told the tribunal: 'It's a health and safety issue for an employer to ensure you have a comfortable chair'. She said after 12 months of not receiving a chair, she 'put in a memo' but 'still didn't receive one'.

The headmaster, Marius Frank, said he would have expected a member of the school's leadership team to have had the 'wit and initiative' to sort the problem out."

She is in a promotion position and I guess the farting and uncomfortable chair was something she put up with for a bit. The thing is, when others find things amusing , then they never recognise you actually have a problem because they are too busy amusing themselves and seeing the funny side of it. The chair is something which should have been replaced and put in her office. Why would she have to replace it herself? Office furniture is put in place. Delivered to site and distrubuted around the site by whomever the maintenance people are. I think shrugging their shoulders at her is a bit unfair and harsh because they have amused themselves quite well at her expense and could have offered to haveto organise another chair for her. I know when I have had chair problems at work we have all had a laugh if it has been funny and then my chair has been repaired or replaced. She only looks like she is overreacting because she has had to take a strong line of action to get heard. I bought a pair of thongs which kept farting as I walked. It was funny but farting away around the shops wore thin after the first 5 minutes. I now do not wear them and I don't shop where I bought them. It's stupidly annoying.
