Public praised for water saving efforts.

Public praised for water saving efforts. :

"South Australia's Minister for the River Murray, Karlene Maywald, has commended SA households for saving two gigalitres of water in 2005 - equivalent to about 2,000 Olympic swimming pools."

Thank you! It is a rare thing indeed for us to be thanked for our community efforts and I believe, in South Austrlai we work hard as a community to haul together when we are asked to. There are still those who put the sprinklers on for the kids to play in on a hot day, forgetting we are trying to save water. Sprinklers and kids have been a big thing in SA because we are a hot, dry state. But, most of us have been good with our car washing, watering and tap turning off. We even save the water from the salad spinners and washing vegetables and fruit and put that on the garden. It's great to get some feed back on this , but more importantly, it's wonderful to be thanked. I'm basking in the glow of pride!
