Man breaks leg while kicking spider :

"The force of the man's kick at the spider broke his right leg in two places and also killed the spider."

I don't like 8 legged things in or around my home , hairy or not. I am not in the least surprised to hear this poor young man has broken his leg in two places trying to do a huntsman in. People tell you huntsmen are not a problem , but they can give you a very nasty bite which will have you feeling incapacitated for a while. That is the least of the problems though. I always spray around this house because it is prone to huntsmen and other assorted 8 leggeds. They used to be easy to deal with. Not now.They are far too animated. They pop out of nowhere and really make you jump because they are so big and so fast. They used to be smaller and slower. They have become very aggressive and they are apt to jump erratically too, so I have been far more wary in dealing with them. As I have said, thongs are brilliant for a decisive wallop, but not when spiders jump and race around like they do. I have changed sprays...but I feel sorry for this guy because he probably was totally caught unawares and that's the thing, you just react. Before , I used to think, oh, there's a spider and I'd get it out of my way. Not now. The bloomin' things charge at you so it's open warfare as far as I'm concerned. I hope the young lad will be okay. He has my sympathy.
