London ponders laser-guided bus :
"Each driverless bus would accommodate a maximum of 24 people but for an extra fee could also be ordered for exclusive use. The vehicles would cruise the streets like London's famous black cabs but would be summoned by a mobile phone."
These buses would be guided by lasers and magnets and are designed to get cars off the street. Bit eerie getting into a driverless bus that you have summoned on your mobile. Would be odd to get on a bus with others sitting there because the driver tends to be the social buffer zone. And let's think, what mayhem would horrible people create??? The prototypes are going to be tried in 2007. I can't wait to hear wait happens.
