News - Leeds Today: :
"One man, who did not want to be named, told the YEP:
'There were comings and goings at that house all the time. Young men would turn up at the house at 2 and 3am and hold meetings that would last for hours. These meetings have been going on for a long time.
'Sometimes there would be five or six people, sometimes there would be 10 of them'."
Piece by piece the puzzle is coming together. The traumatised victims, the actions and reactions, the horrified families. Every little thing is leading to something else and the picture of nice kids coming from good, solid families is beginning to become a familiar picture. The families are hurt so deeply. They might just have well have been in the city. It is so terrible for them to confront the pain of this, as with the victims in the city. But now it becomes clear that people live in places and they see and notice things but it doesn't make sense at the time. Kids have minds and meetings of their own. Kids will create an ideology of their own. What is happening in this community has happened in other communities but with different outcomes. Teenagers , at times, can lead double lives, and although you can "see" it in hindsight, you can't always pick it up at the time. How many adults have felt so guilty when they didn't notice their child had planned suicide or murder or shooting or whatever drastic occurrence it was? Truth is, people do notice, they just don't have a frame of reference at the time nor a valid way of questioning the behaviour.
