Mobile Mental Health

"Young people were telling us that it gave them greater insight into the way in which they were feeling and showed them they were sometimes over-reacting to things or doing things that weren't helpful, or that they should talk to someone."
Mobiletype has been piloted with 47 14-25 year olds to get feedback in between doctor's visits. Young people are very comfortable on their mobiles and it would appear this pilot programme is going really well and that the young people involved view it as really helpful. Easy, non invasive and such a great way to use technology to support people. If more people did it it  might create a strain on the system. We'd have to have a way of reading and coding responses, but I guess that could be done by computer software.
