The grass is finally greener for some farmers

The grass is finally greener for some farmers : "Mr Basham said the need to buy feed for his livestock had threatened to drive the business into debt. Now, his 350 Holstein Friesian milkers are being sustained by pastures that have turned lush and green under the welcome grey skies."

Good news indeed because our farmers have been doing it hard with bush fires, drought, wind...you name it, they've coped with it. They are remarkable people and are starting to wake up to the fact that we do actually care about them and they should not feel worried about asking for help when they need it. It grieves us to find out we could have helped but we didn't know. City and town folk can build bonds, ties and respect for each other. Yes...it has gone green. Our hills are green. Such a surprising site after the crispy brown of summer!
