Crackdown on dodgy drivers

AdelaideNow... Crackdown on dodgy drivers: "'We are increasing our focus and lowering our tolerance in relation to poor driving behaviour and requiring our police to take action in every incidence where they see poor driving behaviour, which increase the risk to road users,' he said."

To be honest, I don't think the police have to do anything except drive around! In my experience they just have to be there. As soon as we see police behind us...that's the trick, they have to stay behind us, even the most perfect driver becomes doubly perfect and some break out into a sweat incase they inadvertently do something dumb. The site of a good old police car makes everyone behave and the traffic noticeably slows down. Most drivers here are good and they have become better, but we still have daft people who are suffering from the centre of the universe syndrome I need to pull out now, so okay, I'm pulling out in front of you. The best one lately was the person who decided to back up and made 20 cars back up...in mid traffic because they wanted to turn into a shopping centre. The rest of us would have driven around the block. Ah well. We can't all be important.
